A coding bootcamp, but for engineers that already have jobs
I learned about Overclock Accelerator from a LinkedIn message this week (not an ad). What struck me as interesting is it's pitched somewhat like a coding bootcamp, but it's for more senior engineers that need to learn the basics of AI. I'm curious if that's something that's going to happen more frequently. I can't imagine committing to 10 weeks of learning at this point in my career but I'm also a bit tempted just because of the excuse to build a ton of fun projects!
I'm an American software developer and the "broligarchs" don't speak for me
This was a phenomenal article, and really the only thing I had time to read this week because of a weird side quest I took on. It calls out many of the things I've been feeling over the past few months/years as tech has become the forefront of the entire economy (this is a theme we talk about in the podcast this week, too!)
What I've Been Building
A quick look at what I've been working on this week
- CommitGraphghan: commitgraphghan.com - I recently learned about Corner to Corner crochet, or a method of crocheting that allows you to build out "pixel"-like squares and create an image. These are often called "Graphghans". I couldn't pass up the awesome opportunity to combine my favorite graph with my favorite hobby, so CommitGraphghan.com was born. It's pretty new and I'm sure very buggy, but I'm working on my first afghan from it already and it's turning out super cool! I can't wait to share it.
- Overcommitted: | Ep. 27 | Q3 Goals Recap with Bethany and Brittany - Just Bethany and I got on the pod this week to chat about how this quarter and the entire year has gone, and recap what we are planning for Q4!
- Overcommitted Book Club: Check out the async Looks Good To Me book club!
